Here is a sample Letter of Continued Interest that you can customize if you need to send one to a school from which you’ve been deferred admission.
Keep it brief and to the point. Emphasize your continued goal to attend the school. Highlight any updates and achievements since you originally submitted your application.
Be sure and address and send it to your regional admissions representative. Always remain grateful for the opportunity to be reconsidered and respectful of their time.
Include your Date of Birth, Common App ID, or Portal ID!

Dear ADMISSION REP,
My name is (YOUR NAME + DOB or COMMON APP OR PORTAL ID), and I’m a hopeful TITAN from SOUTH COUNTY, NEW JERSEY. Though deferred from the Early Action pool, NAME UNIVERSITY remains my top choice school where I would be honored to attend if admitted. I’d like to thank the admissions department for reevaluating my materials.
I would also like to take this time to briefly tell the admissions department about a few things that have happened since I submitted my Early Action application. First,
Academics: Briefly describe an academic accomplishment, improved grade, or a new skill you’ve developed.
Extracurricular: Describe any news or updates on your extracurriculars in school and/or out of school, such as new responsibility at your part-time job, a new initiative in a club, or sports, music, art, or other achievement.
Personal Growth or Initiative: Describe a meaningful experience or lesson learned.
These experiences have further strengthened my desire to attend NAME UNIVERSITY, where I hope make meaningful contributions to the campus community. I am particularly eager to…MENTION PARTICIPATING IN A SPECIFIC ACADEMIC OR CAMPUS ACTIVITY OF INTEREST.
